The process to reach it are ofcourse thru breeding like rabids (not merely rabbits), enforced illiteracy, encouraging violence against the 'other' & congregational brainwashing hatecraft.

In which case, wrt Momins at least, Ghar Wapasi process has to be 3 step process: 1) making the average abdul momin see Dharma is at least a peer to Islam instead of as a hate object and then 2) to make AM see the inadequacies & terrible fundamental fallacies of Islam and then, 3) enabling him to see the fact that Dharma is actually much better than Islam as a way of life, to start with.

But weaning this way will involve copious amounts of protracted bloodshed. Reason: About 20-30% of ANY given population of momins is radicalized heavily & the rest 65-75% susceptible to radical agitprop.

The momin folks (elite, educated) who can actually think - would be some 5% at best; an insignificant & effete minority. And there are no easy upgrade paths for an average momin to reach this 'thinker' level.

Sometimes, I think that CCP is dealing with Uighurs the way Jihadi Islam has to be dealt with - but mostly feel sad. (I had a uighur ham friend from Turkemenistan)

Having said all that, to summarize - dunno whether the fanatical allegiance towards Allah & Mohammed could meaningfully translate & TRANSFORM into any self-effacing Bhakthi mode, say even to Sri Rama. Am doubtful. But am willing to listen.

As for our X'ian 'brethren' it is not so bad. When it is for a old age person in the family, who has (to our knowledge) led a satisfying life, I would be of the same decision(if it is mine to take) as if it is me. But the dilemma comes when the person is no too old, say in their 30s-50s but is seriously ill and possibility of recovery is less. It is a guilt feel in this case which stops me thinking practically. I remembered at least 20-30 telephone number with their STD code. Now, hardly able to remember few. Though there is no necessity for remembering them while our mobile phone has it stored. In Hinduism (o...+1; very well articulated. 🙏🏿🕉️

In Hinduism (or Dharma if you will), we differentiate between two kinds of knowledge/vidya - para and apara; apara being about our normal lives via our intellect, senses, empirical observations etc. Para is beyond all that.

And, there are two kinds of truth - Rta (that which is the universe, or a multiverse if you will, its rhythm+ order - which is not really concerned about human beings one way or the other) based and Satya based. The former may be roughly called 'objective truth' and the latter, the 'subjective truth.' The subjective truths can be different to different folks, depending on where they are coming from - and they may even be internally and externally consistent.

With that background somewhat delineated:

I do not much like this Raita Vs Trad classification and associated skirmishes; but, they are categories with limited usefulness - as some folks who espouse Hindu PoV, seem to identify themselves with one or the other. I find the skirmishes mildly annoying though, like you perhaps do. So.

The Trads and Raitas so-called, are only and merely looking at the subjective truth, so to say - each relevant to their PoV. And it is not that, they don't have a place in the empirical scheme of things - and in the ways in which we tease out simple classifications out of the complex reality. But of course, they are far from 'complete.'

It is also pertinent to remember that Dharma is the one that scaffolds & sustains Rta. And Hinduism is actually, nothing but Dharma.

So, for any 'seeking' Hindu - it would be a pertinent idea to look at the world/universe from the PoV of Rta and Paravidya. However ymmv and all that - depending on where one is coming from and where one wants to go.

There is so much scope out there, to understand & assimilate different PoVs and contextualize them, without getting into skirmishes.

Shameless plug on some of my collected musings on Rta:
guilt, shame, politics, freedom, soaring high & ऋत: reflections & notes - https://othisaivu.wordpress.com/2021/01/31/post-1252/othisaivuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15004163068317967614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11485813.post-64882915496101304562021-11-27T12:04:18.265+05:302021-11-27T12:04:18.265+05:30Valid points-of-view. Thanks for putting them together.

Our meddling Judicial System, which does not introspect/address its own inadequacies but instead sanctimoniously tries to give free-to-air advice to hoi polloi to govt to everything in between, is oh so hilarious.

https://twitter.com/othisaivu/status/1464471872393801728

Of course this is due to the solidly colonial structure of it, right down to its starched collars - but a few important things stand out.

In the british colonial system, which we had to suffer from, for quite a while -- the revenue collection (District Collector) mechanisms as well as judicial systems (District Magistrate) were vested in the same person - to a very significant extent. So, there is a hangover that continues.

Indian judicial system is anti-bharat to start with, because of the local dispute-resolution mechs were intentionally negated & overruled. So, it has weakened and made effete, not only our Gram panchayats - but also Khap panchayats. In fact the Lardships have made a devil out of Khaps.

It is populated by mostly inefficient (and corrupt) Judges (and others) who imperiously still claim 'summer vacations.' (Of course I personally know of a few exceptions/Judges who work their butts off)

The Judges (many of them) have this 'We are God's own gift to mankind' syndrome, that they have inherited from their colonial masters - and flaunt their non-desi skills, attitudes and costumes endlessly. (like, for example - insisting on running most court proceedings in English)

...
...

It is a vexatious issue, and there are no easy solution to the judicial nonsense - in the short run.

(in the long run, of course, we are all toast)othisaivuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15004163068317967614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11485813.post-21276024317977833112021-08-24T20:38:35.005+05:302021-08-24T20:38:35.005+05:30Complex.
