There are signs that I'm becoming a PHB

I wanted to get familiar with NHibernate - a fine tool for object RDB mapping. After about two hours of work, all I have is a simple mapping of one table to a class. Most of the time, I keep searching for a nifty tool to map the DB columns to a class and auto generate the mapping XML. I haven't began understanding the representation of relationships.

At this stage in career -
  • The mind began slowing down, can't multiply 13 and 17 without a calculator.
  • Attention span is reduced to a micro second.
  • Eyes look for key words to click on a web page.
If you don't know what PHBs are you are likely to be one.

"Is there a thing that doesn't exist?" was the question my son Krishna asked me last night. It has been his habit to listen to my ramblings before he goes to sleep. His point is - my voice gives him good sleep. And I see the reason on why I didn't become a teacher. Coming back to his question - it made me happy, for he asked a difficult question. I read this article by Rajeev Srinivasan on Rediff - A whiff of the Manchurian Candidate. Rajeev suggests a few names for the President of India. Here is my serious recommendation: Rajini Kant - And here are the reasons. 1. Hardworking: Against all odds, he worked his way through to be the highest paid actor. (What's wrong in being an actor?) Even at the age of 57, he works to make money for the people who invested in him. 2. Integrity: The man is known for speaking his mind. Read his interview with Balakumaran some 30 years ago. He doesn't try to be some who he is not. 3. Simplicity: Ask anyone who has met him. 4.
